Mr. Shyam Mani joined Tata Motors Finance in the year 2007 as the CEO & Managing Director of the company and during his 11 years of association with the company, he has transformed TMF into a strong captive financing arm of Tata Motors. Mr. Mani has played a key role in shaping the growth of the company both at strategic and visionary level. During his association with the company , he led the company towards growing the portfolio to a level of Rs.25000 cr. He led and oversaw a key restructuring exercise of the company, thereby setting it up for significant value creation in the coming years. His hands on approach coupled with astute leadership has made TMF win several accolades and awards in the last several years. Being a strong believer in analytics and technology, he set up the Analytics division of TMF in the year 2007, a first of its kind for any vehicle financing NBFC in India . He also championed several innovative business practices within the company in the areas of Insurance and Used vehicle business . TMF was also one of the first companies to introduce the concept of Central Processing Centre (CPC) which was recognised by the Tata Group Innovation program.
Prior to joining TMF, Mr. Mani was the Vice President – Sales & Marketing for the Commercial Vehicles Business Unit of Tata Motors Limited (TML) and has had a very successful tenure being responsible for the Commercial and Marketing functions of the entire Business Unit spanning the complete range of products from M & HCV trucks to the highly successful ACE. Mr. Mani has led the successful growth in numbers as well as market shares of the BU and had been closely involved in new product introductions as well as in setting up and growing a large sales team. He has led the entire revamping and growth of the dealer network at TML.
Mr. Mani also served Tata Capital as Chief Operating Officer – Retail Finance prior to his stints with Tata Motors Finance.
Mr. Mani is an alumnus of IIT, Kanpur and he has a vast experience of over 40 years in the Industry spanning Manufacturing and Finance.
Samrat Gupta is the CEO of TMFL and is responsible for scaling up growth and profits of the company . He is a Senior professional having 20 years hands-on execution experience in driving profitable growth, corporate transformation and change management through organic & inorganic expansion. As the CEO of TMFL , he is Focused on creating shareholder value by running organization wide initiatives that lead to improvement in customer satisfaction, enhance employee engagement, and generate healthy cash-flow.
He joined TMFL in the year 2014 as the Chief Financial Officer ( CFO ) of the company . In the year 2017, he was elevated to the position of CEO . During his 4 year stint as the CFO, among other achievements, he was instrumental in undertaking the financial restructuring of the company under the Project Phoenix banner.Prior to joining TMFL , Samrat has worked with many leading organizations including the TATA group companies and other MNCs. As an investment banker , he has Worked in global assignments related to cross border acquisitions, private equity and start-up venture fund raising, pricing and large contract negotiation, offshore and onshore infrastructure facility and resource augmentation, devising and implementing human capital strategy, leadership development and succession planning, equity & debt financing, balance sheet restructuring, buy back and capital reduction programs.
Samrat has an MBA from the University of Manchester . He has widely travelled across the globe and his interests include listening to music and networking with people.
Adarsh Kumar is the Chief Operating Officer at Tata Motors Finance Solutions Ltd (TMFSL) since April 2017 and heads functions of business, credit, collections, operations and manages the P&L of the company. Adarsh has been instrumental in setting the direction of the company and has steered the growth of the company in a very short period of time.
Prior to TMFSL, Adarsh was the Chief Operating Officer at Tata Motors Finance Ltd (TMFL), where he played a very key role in the growth of the company along with strengthening of market share, business processes and controls. He is working with the Tata group for over a decade.
His major area of specialisations are to manage P&L, to strength market share & market position, people management, risk management, relationship management with all stakeholders, channel & network management.
Adarsh has over 24 years of retail finance and corporate finance experience in products like New & Used Passenger Cars, New & Used Commercial Vehicles, Two Wheelers, Consumer Durables, Personal Loan, Home Loan, Loan against Property, Vehicle & Life Insurance Distribution and Cross Sell.
Prior to Tata group, Adarsh was the Vice President and Business Head for Consumer Finance at Bajaj Auto Finance Ltd. He has also worked with Citigroup and GMAC at senior roles.
Adarsh has done MBA from FORE School of Management Delhi and graduation in Economics from Delhi University.
Alok Chadha is the Business Head – MHCV & ICV. He has a large team spread over all regions and states . He is currently responsible for MHCV business for the company which involves sales , collections and all activities related to the same . As we are a captive financier the role also involves close co-ordination with Tata Motors.
Before joining TMFL Alok has worked with MRF Tyres and Kinetic Engineering in the sales and marketing functions. He has joined TMFL in 2008 as Regional Business Head West from where he moved to the role of Collection Head and then to the current role . Is responsible for the profitability and growth of the department . Amongst the notable achievements the following stand out – creating a collection organisation with strong processes which brought down the Gross NPAs, while improving the collection through a slew of strategies . In the current role disbursals and market shares at their highest level in the last few years . He is a strategic thinker and very strong at execution.
Alok has a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from Lucknow University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management. He enjoys reading and travelling.
Anindya is responsible for Sales, Collection for standard assets and profitability of the same.
Before joining the company, Anindya spent about 8 years in Magma Group handling functions ranging from Passenger Vehicles Financing to Business Development and then General Insurance in a National role, 10 years in the Kotak Mahindra Group handling various products like Auto Loan, Commercial Vehicles Loan and Life Insurance and stints with Dunlop India Ltd. and NIIT Ltd.
During his tenure at Tata Motors Finance, Anindya had a successful 2 year stint as Regional Business Head (Eastern Region), taking the Region to the Top position. In his current role, he has led the Light & Small Commercial vehicles vertical to become a highly profitable vertical within a span of barely two years. The challenge in the Passenger Vehicles vertical was to change the image of TMF being a predominantly ‘Taxi financier’ to being a serious player in the Personal use segment. The transition was handled with minimum disruption and the position of leading financier for Tata Motors Limited has been achieved successfully.
Anindya has a bachelor’s degree in Statistics from Presidency College Calcutta, and is an MBA from the Indian Institute of Social Welfare & Business Management.
Anand Bang is Chief Financial Officer of Tata Motors Finance Limited and TMF Holdings Limited. Anand joined TMF in Dec, 2014. Anand is responsible to manage all finance related functions including Accounts, Audit, Taxation, Business Planning, Treasury, Internal Financial Controls and Operational Finance. He has a rich experience of over 15 years and has an association with Tata Group for more than a decade. Prior to TMF, he was associated with Tata Technologies, where he served as Finance Controller for its European operations. Anand Bang is a Commerce post graduate and an Associate Chartered Accountant from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Anand is a passionate professional with an entrepreneurial drive for execution and transformation. Outside of work, Anand enjoys watching various English TV series and exploring new places to travel.
Punit Puri is the CHRO for TMF Group. He leads the HR function with team strength of around 35 across multiple locations. He is currently responsible for the HR function’s interaction with business, including formulating strategies and drafting policies for hiring, retention, compensation, performance evaluation, employee engagement, organization culture, and learning & development.
Prior to Tata Motors Finance Punit spent over 16 years at McKinsey & Co. in variety of roles ranged from operations management (first 6 years), quality (next 3 years), learning (3 years), and finally to Head - HR in 2011.
In his tenure at Tata Motors Finance, He has been responsible for transforming the HR department from mere hiring and operations team to playing a much more value-added role with full-right seat at CXO discussion table. Amongst the notable achievements the following stand out – launch of the competency framework and Assessment and Development centre for 150 top leaders in TMF, launch of Project Utkarsh to absorb off-roll employees post online Psychometric test and in-person interviews, cloud based LMS and world-class suite of eLearning program, Drona program for functional learning with in-house trainers, and many more.
Punit has a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Delhi University and is an Associate Chartered Accountant, 1991 – 1994. He enjoys watching movies and tracking stock markets
Paras Jha is our Chief Transformation Officer, for the Tata Motorfinance Group. He leads the Information Technology, Operations and Marketing functions ably supported by team across multiple locations across India. His major responsibilities include providing Technology support for the entire Tata Motorfinance group that includes SAP, Network and Connectivity, New Technology Introduction, Digital Transformation, providing Operations infrastructure to support all functions so as to carry out the current and upcoming businesses. He is also responsible for branding, communication and marketing functions. He joined Tata Motorfinance in 2005 and since then has worked in various capacities ranging from Product Management to Head Sales to Regional Business Head functions.
Prior to Tata Motorfinance Paras has spent over 10 years at Tata Motors Limited in variety of roles ranging from Customer Service, Field Sales, Fully Built Vehicle’s’ Business to International Business.
In this role, Paras has been entrusted with the responsibility of transforming the group into a company of future studded with agility and innovation at core that supports and lives every essence of adding enormous value to various stakeholders led by the customers.
Paras has a bachelor’s degree in Production Engineering and Management from National Institute of Technology (then known as Regional Institute of Technology), Jamshedpur. He enjoys singing and writing.
Srikanth Mahadevan is currently the Chief Risk Officer for TMFL. However, in addition to credit risk management, he is also responsible for the enterprise risk activities of the company. TMF relies significantly on analytics, and as part of his risk management role, he is also in charge of developing the analytical capabilities of the organization on through a dedicated Business Intelligence Unit (BIU) division.
Srikanth has rich experience in the Indian Automobile sector, with over 24 years of exposure with Auto manufacturers and Auto finance area including leading private banks. During his tenure, he worked in both domestic and international markets handling auto sales. In Vehicle Financing, he has handled the Product, Sales, Business and Risk functions and has been exposed widely to all aspects of the business. During his stint with TMF, he also undertook an initiative of Refurbishment Business with the objective of managing the residual value management of assets.
Srikanth recently received an internal company award under the lnnovista Program for strategizing a Core Process Innovation for Branded Used Commercial Vehicle business.
Pradeep Nayak is the Collection Head for TMFL. In the present role he is responsible for the Collections of the Portfolio from Current to Write off. He is supported with NCM for Collections, Pro litigation and Residual Value Management.
Prior to Tata Motors Finance, radeep has spent over 5 years with Barclays Group, 9 years with Citigroup, 5 years with ANZ Grindlays group and 5 years with 20th Century Finance. Handled various role of Operation/Sales/ Collections.
In his tenure of at Tata Motors Finance he has been responsible to introduce the Credit Life Insurance business and scaled up the vehicle Insurance. In a stint of One year he has stabilised the Emerging Market Business and Collection Operation.
Pradeep has a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Mumbai University and completed MMS from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management with degree from Pune University.
Pradeep is a keen Marathon Runner and a Cyclist. He has completed more than 15 - Half Marathons.
An industry veteran of 22 years, Srinivas Panda manages our Used Vehicle Business vertical. Srinivas has been with the organization for close to 10 years and successfully scaled various businesses across all the major verticals in the organization, whilst setting new benchmarks for performance and leadership. Since joining the Tata Group, Srinivas has successfully headed the Commercial Vehicle Finance Business, Write Off Portfolio and the Cross Sell Business. Srinivas came with extensive work experience in the retail finance industry – from Two Wheelers to SMEs to Unsecured Loan Business and even Credit Cards. He joined us from Bajaj Finance where he was the National Sales Manager for the Consumer Finance business. Srinivas’ work style and ethic are synonymous with adaptability and flexibility. He has also been keenly involved in driving Innovation and employee friendly initiatives. He is known to “walk the talk”, and has thereby built a solid foundation of trust and faith across all levels of employees in the organisation. Srinivas is an avid reader and follows all genres of music.
Vinu has been with the TATA group since January 2006, handling various facets of Collections. Prior to joining Tata Motors Finance (TMF) he was with ICICI Bank Ltd.
He is currently the Sr. Vice President for Tata Motors Finance Solutions Ltd. and heads the Collections of Used Vehicles department and Manufacturer Guaranteed Book (MGB).
In the past 11 years with TMF and TMFSL, he has made some substantial contributions to the company, notable among which are conceptualizing and starting the “X” bucket, Recovery & Strategic (RSC) verticals along with setting up of a Proactive Litigation and Collections Centre of Excellence verticals.
In April 2015, he had taken up the assignment in TMFSL to setup and run the collections infrastructure of TMFSL, and set up three verticals of collections within just 3 months with >2500 FOS (feet on street) and supervisory teams. He launched two Industry first programs in TMFSL to address the challenging MGB portfolio - project DCDS (Different Customers Different Solutions) which was a breakthrough tailor made program outlining solutions for all the TMFSL customers triggering > 1.10 lakh customers to reactivate their repayments & Risk Based Allocations (RBA) to reduce cost and optimize resource utilization (winner at TMFL Innovista, Dec 2017). Vinu has also been the recipient of the most prestigious “Go the extra mile” (2016) and “Outstanding Manager of the year” (2017) awards.
Kumar Narayanswamy is the head of our internal audit team. During the 9 years as head of Credit Operations and Accounting at TATA Finance Limited, he was responsible for the credit monitoring and operations of the entire vehicle/equipment portfolio.
Subsequent to TATA Finance Limited, he was with ICICI bank as AGM internal audit and was handling the independent charge of their housing subsidy ICICI home finance.
Throughout the career in Internal audit, he has been recognized for development of system controls in credit and related areas and also enabling countrywide impact analysis based on audit observations from a particular audit so that the controls can be implemented at the initial finding stage itself. He represented IAD in a team called AIU (Audit Intelligence Unit) in ICICI Bank
Kumar has a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from Mumbai University and holds professional degree's ACA and ACS. He enjoys philately and reading.
